Florida secretary of state argues 1965 Voting Rights Act is unconstitutional

The Republican drive to repeal the 20th century continues. In this Florida-based version, we learn that the 1965 Voting Right Act, which prevents states from making laws that discriminate against voters and requires the federal government to issue approval for changes in voting laws in certain, shall we say, problem areas, is unconstitutional. Because the Republican secretary of state in Florida says so:

state and the mindset). I'm an exile from western New York, trapped here by poverty. It was quite the culture shock when I arrived, but I have found there are good people everywhere. Unfortunately people like Governor Voldemort (Rick Scott to the uninitiated) and his minions get far more attention in the media. :hi:

Good people there, good people in Texas, where I spent much of the first 20 years of my adult life. But the idiots (with the shining exception of Ann Richards) running those third world states, bleh. Funny thing, now that I'm in a blue, blue state, it's only because of Seattle - go out 100 miles and it's just as third world.
