"Tastes Great Less Filling" is short hand for the kind of dialectic you get when you accept other people's talking points without examining whether they are true or not. For example, "unamerican" protesters were blamed for losing the Vietnam war, but we weren't "winning" at any point in that war. The Vietnam war was a loser from the outset, got worse, and ended ignominiously.
For further examples of a tastes-great-less-filling talking point, consider one about so-called "illegal" immigrants, "They take jobs from Americans." It happens that they
don't, but who's counting?
Incidentally, a correct slogan for Miller Lite would be
More Water Less Beer.
They take jobs away from citizens.
