I just did a google search about permanent bases built in Iraq by Bush. DU is one of the top links that pops up. The link goes to a post from 2006 from kpete. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x951711

No matter how much you think that what you post on DU doesn't matter, it does. I've seen DU come up as a search result for all kinds of topics. One time by accident I found a gun site linking to a topic posted on DU about gun oil. The members of that forum were shocked that "Democratic" Underground would have such good information about that topic. I've seen it come up for book reviews, tech help, life questions, and much more.

Keep up what you're doing DUers! It makes a difference. :applause:

gear icon at the top of the search results ---> Web History and disable "Customization based on signed-out search activity"

15. Wow! If you google "Hannity Hitler" the second result

is a video I made and posted on DU after putting it on YouTube so it could go in the Political Videos forum.

With all the Hitler references Hannity throws around, I'm rather surprised it shows up so near the top.

if you've had your browser long, it probably knows what you like.

Try the same search on an associate's computer at work.

BUT...when I was in high school (just a few years back) I'd often find DU when searching political topics. I'd limboed between liberal and conservative then and I'm glad I discovered this board.
