Missing Co-Ed was hit and run victim

The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a car on I-285 Friday night has been identified as missing Georgia State University student Danielle Rowe.Vickie Saunders, the victim's sister, confirmed the identification to 11Alive News Tuesday afternoon.

Rowe was hit by two or three cars as she walked on I-285 Friday night. The body was in such bad shape, the DeKalb County Medical Examiner could only tell that the victim was a black female at first.

At the same time, the 23-year-old Rowe had not been seen since she was walking outside Club Obsessions with her friends Friday night.

The group had been drinking and Rowe walked away from the group. Her friends thought she'd gotten a ride with somebody else, but she never came home.
