The Mayor is the person who authorizes violent techniques like we saw in Oakland. Here is what I told the mayor.

Please do not deploy Police with Violent Methods Against Peaceful Protesters
The result is obvious and lethal. Firing shotgun rounds into two occupiers faces? This is wrong, Un-American and immoral. Our U.S. Constitution GUARANTEES the right of citizens to assemble to redress their grievances with the government. You must be aware of this.
As Mayor, you are accountable for the safety and security of the people in your city. I demand that you investigate this incident of police brutality and misconduct and allow peaceful demonstrations to continue without violent interference by police.
The right to peaceful assembly and freedom of speech is what Scott was serving to defend as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps. I'm sure he did not expect that upon coming home, he would be treated like a criminal, on streets made into a veritable war-zone by police on October 25.
End the criminal misconduct of police in your city and investigate the incident that led to Scott Olsen's hospitalization.
