Report: Bank of America boss 'incensed'

Under fire from President Barack Obama and some members of Congress, Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan said he is “incensed” by the public criticism of his company and argued that critics are ignoring the good work his employees do.

“I, like you, get a little incensed when you think about how much good all of you do, whether it’s volunteer hours, charitable giving we do, serving clients and customers well,” Moynihan said to BoA employees in a “global town hall” meeting last week, Bloomberg reports.

The CEO said that critics should consider the bank’s positive contributions before rushing to criticism.

“You ought to think a little about that before you start yelling at us,” he said, adding that critics ““usually quiet down pretty quickly when they start to understand the facts and figures.”

Have you ever heard what a pedophile says after he is caught? He drones on and on about what
a good person he is and he will point to his "good works"--usually in the community or church.

Have you ever read biographies of mafia leaders? They donate money to charity, attend charity
fundraisers and often have big families and children that they love and support. They're quick
to tell you about all of these wonderful things.

This type of thinking is one of the hallmarks of a psychopath or a sociopath. They have very
thick denial systems, in which their crimes and lack of empathy are on the back burner in
their mind. What they perceive as "good behavior" is foremost in their mind--and is evidence (in their mind)
that they are good and decent people.

it's not because of poor work performance, far from it, I get glowing reviews... it's because my company hasn't given a raise to any employee in over 3 years because they can't afford to. B of A with the parasites (him, his upper management team and the Board of Directors), so as to secure popular sympathy for the lot of them.

The rhetorical tactic Moynihan is employing is called 'synecdoche' (referring to one part of an entity as the entire entity). In this case, Bank of America is composed of several antagonistic parts: the shareholders who own it, the management (of whom Moynihan is numero uno) who set policies and the workers who run it by executing management's policies. The three parts are not identical, Moynihan's pathetic rhetorical gesture notwithstanding.
