"Ex-gay" conservative candidate explains how marijuana is a gateway drug for sex with minors

Linda Wall, a conservative independent Virginia candidate for the House of Delegates, admitted on Wednesday that she had an affair with a female student as a junior high gym teacher in the early 1970s, but said she has changed.

"I've never tried to hide that I was in homosexuality," she said in an interview with the AP. "If anybody Googles me, they would find that out there," she said. "Forty years ago I was a different person. I was a heavy pot smoker with ... impaired judgment and made some bad choices," she added. The student was a minor at the time, meaning Wall could still be prosecuted if she comes forward.

In a 2006 deposition as part of a defamation lawsuit former Republican candidate Paul Jost filed against her and state Sen. Thomas K. Norment Jr., Wall confirmed that she had sexual relations with a minor. She said resigned her position after the superintendent of the unspecified Prince George County, Va. school confronted her about the allegation.

Wall said that she converted to Christianity, changed her sexual orientation and stopped using drugs. She has lobbied the Virginia legislature on social issues and describes herself as "ex-gay."

She is LYING! It was not 40 years ago it was more like about 25 years ago. The school was JEJ Moore Junior High School in Prince George. This pedophile was my PE teacher before she got fired for molesting young girls in the gym locker room. This was a Junior High…not a High School so these girls were only 12-15 years old.

The Superintendant of Schools at that time was Dr. James Rooks and the Principal of the school was Dr. R. Francis Moore. Not sure if Rooks is still alive but I know Dr. Moore is. There are still people around who know about this.

I guess this lying pervert figured that it was so long ago nobody would remember her. I am gay so I have no problem with homosexuality but a teacher messing with underaged kids in a gym lockerroom is just plain SICK!

You can't choose to be gay or straight and force yourself to conform to a sexual preference but you sure can choose whether to have sex with someone under age or not.

You are trying to cover up pedophilia by explaining it away that pot made you do it. Plenty of people have gotten high, drunk or both and they didn't have the urge to have an affair with a Junior High student! Don't pretend this has anything to do with being a lesbian or smoking marijuana - it has to do with you being unable to control yourself.

I'm a lesbian, and I smoked pot when I was in my late teens and early 20's. I've never had sex with a underaged minor. If I can control myself, why the hell can't you?
