consciousness. But I gotta wonder if a little of this... happening RIGHT NOW is a survival instinct kicking in... with modern communications technology.

I mean people get it... global warming, economy... well you know... But danger tends to bring a certain reaction in any animal, so I gotta wonder if this is the species collectively saying, there are some elements among us that will make us go extinct and we ain't ready to go into that dark night YET. And I am among the top cynics, but I wonder what the consciousness project is doing these days.

6. I think it's recognizance

of what we are dealing with in this country....the Europeans have been there before...they do not have quite the economic inequality that we deal with, but have seen it in their past. So they want to express solidarity. I don't think it's very much of an existential question. I see a condemnation of corporatism/fascism and imperialism and what all three have done to the 99%.

22. If not a global consciousness then still global influence. Groups

in ME read a book by and American(?) author telling them how to use non-violent actions to take on their governments. The world watches their revolutions with awe. London students protest raises in student fees with non-violent action. Unions in Wisconsin stand up for their rights with similar non-violent action. Anonymous begins actions using the internet. And now we have the occupy movement world-wide.

And I agree that it all may be stemming from a survival instinct that is telling us now or never.
