Where all the cool people are.
That being said, I wasn't posting much of anything online in the run up to the election, because:
not only was I watching the MSM news a lot this week and didn't have time to post because I was too busy watching the news and gloating about the Republican loss,
(one does not have to be an enormous fan of the administration to appreciate a good Republican ass-whooping)
But I got hit with bad news on the project I been working on, right on the day before election (and some of the folks were only in town until the day before the election... something about the fifth... @_@ and running around town with them)
And have been scrambling to keep the whole thing from falling apart at the last minute because we
lost the space we thought we had secured for the project. Probably because of the unpopularity rubbing off on us from local Occupy.
Plus, that made my sleep wake cycle too accurate, so now I'm falling asleep at 9-10 pm and getting up at 9 AM, bad for blogging!
Did I mention this sort of setback has previously happened several times to the same project which is why my posting on DU fell off in the first place, especially after I recruited at least one DUer IRL? (He's doing a lot of stuff to help keep our nonprofit going, but often at each others' throats) Should I try and recruit other folks from DU I wonder? The only sane people I know who are real (not fake) progressives seem to be the old-timers here on DU. NYC knows where I live, maybe he could refer me to other DUers in my area who are interested in community work
If there's a silver lining, someone from a major arts organization called me today in response to a random query and professed to know exactly who I was... I had no idea who he was at first... this turned out to be a good thing :-)

I did post
this before the election
and this on DU3 today...

I'm only stepping up my pony posts since a new season of ponies is about to begin tomorrow. I'll let you know if it is good or not...
