He did not mince words.

I will not do his comments the injustice of copying and pasting excerpts.

The article says he was one of the most liberal Democrats in Congress. Also says he is the son of a steelworker.

I am guessing that he is like this daughter of union members, who, in 1950, would have been considered a relatively conservative Democrat, but, these days, is considered a wild-eyed radical.



Even at that, I had assumed that San Diego was more conservative.

2. To be candid, i never heard of him before.
I have been thinking, on and off, about moving, but i would have ruled out Southern California. I have lived all my life in blue states. I don't want to change that for the first time, just when the country is at the most polarized it has ever been, in my memory anyway.

But, now, I might rule San Diego into the possibilities. Supposedly, it has one of the best year round climates in the world, if not THE best in the entire world.
