| 4. Exactly the number short for cloture. They could have voted to end debate. |
|
And then voted whatever cowardly ass way they wanted to after.

Very disappointing. I'm not sure I expected much from the others.

I can only hope the disgusting views of people that believe in breaking up families, depriving people of opportunities in life, and shooting humans at our borders is ultimately silenced forever. That's all this was: a way of voicing an anti-immigration view.

| 6. Anti illegal immigration does not equal anti immigration. |
|
Illegal still counts for something.
You notice the Japanese kids that got okayed to stay were 1) the child of an American citizen and 2) the child of a woman who came on a legal Visa whose mother got killed and who was raised by an aunty here legally, perhaps an American citizen.

The larger portion of anti-"amnesty" assholes are also open and barely closeted racists.

| 3. This broke my heart. I was especially pissed at Kay Hagin. |

The duo from Montana just didn't make any sense either. It isn't like North Carolina and Montana are being overrun by Latinos and Asians.
What a shit vote. We needed these 5 and they bailed.

| 5. No, but Montana (at least) is overrun by "we hate those furriners" types... |
|
...especially "furriners" whose skin is darker and who are probably -- gasp! -- Catholic to boot. And they don't even speak American!
