A really good movie that will only deepen your appreciation of the man - no matter where that appreciation is already. Could a man in a wheelchair be elected today?

| 11. That one photo of him in the pinstripe suit: what a resemblance to John Kerry! |
|
At least in that photo, as a young adult, he does. Never noticed that before!
Thanks for all the work you did to find and post these. The world needs him now as much as back then. It's not that his equal does not exist, but that person either doesn't have the power or doesn't have the $ it takes to run for office these days.

|
where her mom has her head tilted. I've seen so many photos of FDR where he has his head tilted the same way.

Can you imagine that man kicking ass today? What a contrast since Reaganomics and the TV News take-over.

| 18. Wish my Mom were alive she loved FDR. |
|
She would have painstakingly looked over every detail in each photo. She lived through the depression and WWII. By the age of 92 she's seen a few Presidents come and go and always said, 'they'll never be another Roosevelt.'

| 20. Great post - amazing how people used to sail in suits |
|
the sailing crowd pretty much lead the rest of the country into the "leisure" mode.
Reading David Brinkley's "Washington goes to War" it is amazing how he lead us in to that including some obvious manipulations of people and situations.
Still on the whole clearly the best President of the 20th Century.
