Then, that august body considered ongoing conflict in the Middle East by discussin... a resolution condemning Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territories. (The US vetoed it, saying that this was a topic better served by peace talks and not the Security Council.)
Whatever you think of that topic, doesn't that seem like a less urgent matter than all the things going in Bahrain and Libya?
