| DON'T DO IT! IT'S A TRICK! A "deal" has been made in WI. |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-24-11 07:41 AM by Atman
Breaking: a "deal" has been reached in WI, reports the AP via Morning Joe. If the Dems will just agree to no more amendments or debate, they'll take an up or down vote, probably today.
BULLSHIT! Walker wouldn't be backing down so easy. Something is up his sleeve. He was royally embarrassed by the fake Koch phone call, and he'd have no problem playing a trick on the Dems in revenge. Too much is at stake for him. He is not to be trusted.

| 5. What's the point, then? They can't vote without a quorum. |
|
No quorum without the Dems. So who is the deal with?

| 9. i guess the assembly is like the House of Reps on the Fed level |
|
the state legislature has 2 parts a senate and an assembly. Both vote on their own versions of legislation.
I am guessing.

| Okay. So why then is this "breaking news?" |
|
Sounds like nothing much changes. And I STILL don't trust Walker.

| 13. The Assembly is like the house getting ready for a vote vs the Senate |
|
trying to break a filibuster. I guess, since the Assembly is ready to end debate and get ready to vote, it's "breaking news". It's one procedural step to passing Walker's bill.

have to be a bill that they drafted that specifically omitted abolition of collective bargaining.
This is academic. The Assembly is the chamber that would be meeting, not the Senate.

| 7. Are the Assembly Dems still in hiding? |
|
I keep seeing that they are ready to do this, that and the other in the Wisconsin Assembly, like Scott Wanker has it under control. Are the Dems still not there? Then, there is no quorum. That's the way I want it. Wanker can't move any major legislation without a quorum.

He's shown his colors in the prank phone call. He not open to making deals and he's not working for the people.

| 11. LOL, If the Dems fold the R's will take an up or down vote. |
|
This sounds like the status of the bill in the WI Assembly, not the WI Senate
The Dems had 100 or so Amendments to consider. It was a time buying tactic. Sooner or Later the Assembly will get its up or down vote.
