| AP: WI Repub leader orders State Troopers to Dem senators' houses. |

They can't arrest the senators, so what is the possible point of this? How much is this publicity stunt going to cost the cash-strapped state of Wisconsin? This is pure intimidation, nothing less. Pure thuggery.

Do they actually think that people will be intimidated? It should have the opposite effect.

Everyone knows none of those senators are even at home. Intimidating their families is not going to go over well with most people, even many of those who support Walker's other thug tactics.

| 5. The 'pubs are using classic thug techniques...scare the family. |
|
The senators are still gone. The senators are being sent to their homes, presumably to intimidate and scare the spouses and children, putting pressure on the senators. We've seen it a thousand times in gangster movies...threaten the family, the hero will crack because he wants to protect them. This is shameful.

Walker and the Fitzgeralds love the notion of being tough guys, they feel it is appealing to their base.

I don't have MSNBC. I'm not sure, like you, what the point is if the people they are trying to round up are out of state. Perhaps, they want to harrass the spouses/kids? Not a good idea, IMHO.

The troopers can't arrest the Senators, but they can compel their attendance at the Senate. Their jurisdiction extends only to the state line, though, so they'll be treated to 14 front doors with 14 "Gone Fishin'" signs. I wonder if this is the wisest use of limited resources for a state that's crying poor because it just emptied its treasury into the pockets of the overrich?
Side note for the Senators' families: You don't have to answer the door when the cops come knocking.

No doubt the press will be there with cameras on. The family need just say, "You know damn well he/she is not here. Tell the governor to stop wasting taxpayer dollars on these childish bully tactics." Get that on tape. Show it far and wide.
