Is the DU site having issues? I was just on and now getting server not found errors.

4. There seems to be a DNS server problem in Los Angeles (at least for me).

I had to add an entry to my hosts file for it to connect.

5. I was having trouble connecting at work on our Time-Warner cable this afternoon

and continued to have trouble when I got home on Verizon DSL.

Just switched from Google DNS servers to Verizon DNS and I'm connecting now.

Strange. But, the DU Facebook Site had a post that it was just that Skinner was "Revising the Site" for the "New Format."

20. I just googled "free proxy"

and selected the first choice on the Google list, which got me to a website that lists hundreds of free proxies. I picked a Dutch one I got in through it. I didn't need to do anything with Yahoo.

And it did not occur to me to use either one, until I saw that suggestion in the DU Panic Room.

I am using a Spanish one that works very, very well for me now.

17. yep can only get here thru a proxy server

been down since noon. Still not up and no news except the freepers are saying anonymous shut this site down... and are taking this as pure fact...

in Iowa. zilch. had to look up the IP address via netcraft.. 216.158.54.197 which is how we found the old college email system when someone forgot to register the site in renewal. Just basically no news whatsoever. Except one the freepers are having a hay day and other sites are relying on them for why DU is down. So it's all anonymous's fault and the freepers hope they aren't next.
