Man charged with tossing puppy from car
Man charged with tossing puppy from car

The man who police say tossed a puppy from a moving vehicle in Elmhurst into traffic has been charged with animal cruelty, facing up to a year in jail and a $2,500 fine, authorities said today.

Sergieu Muresan, 26, of Chicago, surrendered himself at the Elmhurst Police Department on Tuesday, 11 days after the incident near a busy intersection at North Avenue and Route 83. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in DuPage County Court on Jan. 24, police said.

The dog is in good health at DuPage Animal Hospital in Villa Park and will be transferred to the West Suburban Humane Society in Downers Grove, where he will be put up for adoption, police said.

Police offered no explanation on why the dog was tossed from the car window.

Tossing kittens from the windows. It was just horrible. One time, it was from a plumbling truck with a phone number on it. I called the office and told them.

I hate cruelty to animals. It shows who the real "animals" are.

8. Hopefully, you don't really mean that.
I abhor cruelty to animals - heck, I have felt guilty on occasion when bugs hit my windshield. But humans are animals too, no animal deserves to be thrown out the window of a moving car.

10. obviously I'm not going to go look the guy up and throw him out a window
But I'm way past letting this kind of shit go.

I metaphorically hope he gets an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, and his karmic just deserts.

I literally hope they give him the maximum.

Satisfied? :eyes:

12. You have no need to satisfy me. I was making an observation, the same

as you were. I just believe that the 'eye for an eye' mindset exacerbates the situation and inures (edit: is that even a word? I mean, makes people inured) people to occurrences that they should find shocking, thereby making those occurrences more likely to continue.

4. Punishment should fit the crime..
I know it's not very reasonable and progressive of me to feel that way, but there it is. Out the window with you, Serg.

A lump of coal is too good for the likes of Sergieu Muresan.

9. That's one of the most dangerous intersections in Illinois, too.
This scum sucking prick not only risked the dog's life, he could have triggered a HUGE accident.
