Anyway, I'm arguing with someone who claims the majority spoke last November in Wisconsin so the rest of us should just shut up and get over it since we're in the minority. I'm in the middle of an argument taking the position that we are NOT the minority AT ALL.

I saw some stats here, I think, in the last couple of days, that proved how true MY contention is - and I only vaguely remember:

Something about how 600,000 people in Wisconsin voted for Obama in '08, or maybe it was a 600-thousand vote edge, proving the majority, over whatever number of voters went with mcsame. Most of the latter also came out in 2010 to vote for republi-CONS, while large-enough numbers on our side stayed home, giving the actual minority that showed up - the win. And I remember a figure - such that - if 25% of that 600-thousand on our side had come to the polls, muammar walker would not have been elected.

Anybody either have that info or remember it or know where I can find it?

9. Bullshit. Democratic participation is more than voting. Voting is not a constitutional right,

whereas, the First Amendment reserves that right for the people to assemble and petition the government.

10. I'm sorry, but you're making the wrong argument.

Sorry, but it's not important what happened in November. The people dislike what their government is doing NOW. They have every right and obligation to speak out.

The argument that a democracy begins and ends on election day is simply false.

I bet your friend was not saying that during last summer's TEA party rallies and phony health care protests.
