Now the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia is investigating and a former teacher is blowing the whistle on where he believes the money ended up.
...
The money was supposed to be used for a program called Senior 2 Senior, where students in the 12th grade would help senior citizens learn how to use the internet. McKinley Tech was awarded the money, but no program was ever launched.
...
He said only four people would have had access to money: the school's principal, David Pinder; the assistant school superintendent; the Deputy Schools Chancellor at the time, Kaya Henderson; and former Schools Chancellor, Michelle Rhee.
...
DCPS security began an investigation and according to lead investigator, Eastern Steward, $35,000 of the award money was spent on a technology bus that was used just five times; $10,000 for new office furniture; thousands for dinners and conferences, and thousands more that can't be accounted for.

One of the teachers I used to work with was arrested for 2nd degree burglary. Good times.
