'Octomom' faces eviction from Calif. home; Owner says she owes $450,000 payment

The man who sold his Southern California home to "Octomom" Nadya Suleman said Sunday that he's going ahead with eviction proceedings because she hasn't made a long overdue $450,000 payment.

Amer Haddadin said he'll evict Suleman if she and her lawyer Jeff Czech don't pay the balance on the house by Friday. A balloon payment was due Oct. 9.

"I think they have money, but they are hiding the money," Haddadin said.

Suleman and Czech were served notice on Dec. 2 by mail and by hand, Haddadin said. He expects the eviction to be speedy.

Suleman and her 14 children have lived in the 4-bedroom house for nearly two years, ever since she brought her octuplets home to the quiet cul-de-sac in La Habra, about 25 miles east of Los Angeles. Her father purchased the home for $565,000, including a $130,000 down payment.

7. Balloon mortgages are the zero-down, pay next to nothing loans

that USED to be issued to people who had not quite sold their existing home or who were building a home.. they were betting that when the balloon payment came due, they would have money to put down and re finance to a REAL mortgage..a conventional one.. Bridge loans are also for short periods of time, and you better have the money when they come due..

and many time, people who were "flippers" used this type of financing, since it freed up their money to fix up a place, sell it for a profit and pay off the balloon loan..

with a shitty housing market balloon mortgages are deadly..

It's not the guy with the house's fault that she has FOURTEEN KIDS under 9..

The whole "buying the house" deal was nonsense.. she could not afford it, and no one would have offered her a real loan.. She thought that people would step up and buy her a house with all the donations that would flood in.... wrong-o-octo

That woman will be costing the state of California millions of dollars in services over the next 18 years. She clearly has serious mental issues since she took what little money she had and used it on plastic surgery (and getting more fertility treatment even though she had 6 kids already).

I would suspect 14 kids would be easy to find homes for or at least the 8 youngest ones

She had chances to do things other than shop, and have surgery to try to look like Angelina Jolie, and willingly have 14 children as a single mom. Now she's risking their future, and that's a horrible thing to do to those innocent kids. She didn't make smart choices, so I honestly don't have a lot of sympathy for her.
