| did anyone catch brian williams tonight? according to him, vick was ONLY "involved in an illegal |
|
dogfighting ring". nothing about the horrible abuses and killings, just "involved in an illegal dogfighting ring" nice whitewash there, brian.

|
disgusting enough), but repeated, multiple cases of horrendous abuse and murder.

| 2. Did he say "Only involved" or "Involved" |
|
Cause for starters, I doubt he wrote it himself, as well, if it was off the cuff it was probably just how the sentence came out.

| 6. Yes, after "only" making me think that he said a harmless sentence you turned into a big deal
|

Maybe you should examine your own sentences the same way you pick apart others, cause it seems to me the only spinning going on here is your OP.
And no I couldn't care less about Vick or Williams.
I just find people here are so adamant that every little thing has to be said just the way they want it that if it isn't done perfectly suddenly the person who said it is worse than Vick himself. Reminds me of fucking Pravda.

| 8. a harmless sentence? I guess you are okay with the whitewash that is going on. |
|
since I did not quote him incorrectly, I fail to see what your problem is, but you go right on excusing what is going on with regard to vick.

Just because Williams isn't prefacing Vick's name every time with a twenty five word title about what a bastard he is, doesn't mean there's a whitewash. Just like me asking you to backup your claims with something more than just reminding us what a bastard Vick is isn't me whitewashing anything either.
We all know what he did, he was found guilty in a court of law for it. Sorry that the English language doesn't have words that can directly say what he did in one go. Hence, it becomes "involved in."
You're also asking Williams to editorialize something that is bad practice no matter who the topic is.

murder mystery about a Mississppi or Louisiana mayor who discovered a dog fighting ring in his city that was involved with a Mississippi gambling boat casino. There were very graphic descriptions of the dog fighting scenes and I am trying to remember if the book was written before or after the Vick espose. I am in a book exchange group and no longer have the novel.
If it was written before the Vick scandal, then he author was very well acquainted with dog fighting in the South.

So I don't expect anything particularly insightful or compassionate from Williams. He learned at the bloated feet of the master.
