| About the new GOP House---a question: Can these childish Neanderthals |
|
really force the sponsor of any legislation to begin by explaining exactly what language in the Constitution PERMITS it?
If they attempt this nonsense, NO Democrat should comply and the party should shut the damn place down until the Repubs back down.
What is next---"Cite the chapter and verse of the Holy Bible(King James version) which authorizes such a law"?
I also think the Democrats should get up and walk out when the Baggers start by reading the entire US Constitution aloud when they open this Congress. They should hold a press conference and explain that they are there to do the people's business; that they already understand the Constitution and that there is too much to do to waste time appeasing the extreme right wing of Mr. Boehner's party.

|
had to cite which "essential element" each of my lesson plans was addressing from the state curriculum of essential elements.
There was one called "respect for self and others."
I put that one on every page.

| 10. The Constitution grants Congress the power to make all laws |
|
It's in Section 1.
This is a frivolous proposal designed to attract attention. Most people, particularly barstool patriots, have never so much as glanced at the Constitution.
The only popular misunderstanding that beats this out is the idea that the President has supreme powers of soverignty on a par with a monarch: "Why can't Obama just _______ ?"

Yeah, they will actually succeed in passing stuff. And yes, our "democratic" president will probably sign their stuff. We are in trouble. The progressive agenda that we all dreamed of on election night 2008 is now dead. We must plan beyond our current state. There will likely be moves against immigration and in support draconian measures that the working classes will have to bear. Lip service will be given to shared sacrifice but the elites will sacrifice nothing.
It's not a pretty picture but it is the reality of our situation. We are controlled by big money interests and they're just beginning their buying spree. They won't stop until they own the government. Look for Obama to lose in 2012 and for congress to swing to total repuklian control. Sorry, but that's how I currently see it.

I'm not worried about the Dems being Constitutional...most of them are lawyers and know the law...but the bag people and repubs seem to have problems knowing what is Constitutional or not...so for them...well I think they need it...but the rest is dangerous and silly...no way should Paul Ryan have so much power...the little vampire...(I think he looks like Eddy Munster)plus he wants to suck the life out of us...
