Sounds very similar to a real live town in Arkansas that claims to have had sightings of a woodpecker that was believed extinct. There has been speculation that it was all a hoax.

I really enjoy these type of independent, quirky movies. Great story.. great acting...

Andy Jones stole the show IMO... and I'm a big Molly Parker fan... William Hurt was great as usual...
