Scroll down to "News & Podcasts" and select and add Roku Newscaster which is the first choice of 16. Then when it is added to your channel lineup just scroll over to it and select it. NBC will be right in the middle, scroll 5 to the right and you will see "current". Click that and there you are.
There are a lot of good choices on Roku Newscaster. If you click C-SPAN in that lineup you can see Obama's weekly address, press briefings, and speeches and events (such as Obama addressing the Chamber of Commerce).
