Free online streaming of many movies from Amazon's VOD for premium members...

I am currently streaming the latest installment of the Stieg Larsson movies on the Roku box. :D

Not as many selections as Netflix but it's a start, and if you already have a premium account (which we do) it's nice to have.

2. Dubbed or subtitles?

Hornets Nest I mean. Netflix has it with subtitles, which is harder to enjoy.

I refuse to watch dubbed films. I LIKE hearing foreign languages and getting the original actor's nuances.

4. I have so little ability to concentrate on one thing at a time, tho.

Usually I'm watching a movie, have a magazine or a book open, or am playing a computer game at the same time.

It's tragic.

5. Sub-titles for me, of course!

I want to hear their original voices as we watch quite a few foreign movies so we're used to subs. My daughter and I also saw it in the theater when it was briefly out last year.

6. Put me down in "subtitles corner"

Watching a movie with the sync'd language dubbed can distract and detract from the story, IMHO. OTOH, written text distracts almost as badly and the translations can be pretty awful, too. I guess the best approach would be to become fluent in the language before watching. ;-)
