How have I not heard about this before?? The BBC is bringing Aurelio Zen to the screen: http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2010/02_february/18/zen.shtml:bounce: (And PBS Masterpiece is a co-producer, so I'm assuming I'll be able to stream it from their site before it comes to DVD!)

| 3. I actually discovered him through books-on-tape. |

For some reason, the local library where I used to live had several in the series in their really rather meager audio collection. I was on the road a lot and really enjoyed the mysteries spiked with a heavy dose of Italian day-to-day life (much like Donna Leon's Guido Brunetti series, set in Venice.)
Now that I think about it, I bet it's going to be weird for me hearing a new actor doing Zen's voice. I've gotten so used to the audiobook actor's portrayal. :)
