4. What becomes of laying off journalists?
When you systematically remove journalists and librarians and teachers and other people in the business of information, what happens when you lay off the masses? Do these guys really understand the consequences?

I guess that if the RW is gutting and restructuring the media, their plot has to start some time.

For the rest of us, what do we do to combat this effect? How can people stand up to a hostile state-run press? Any idea?
