A group of anti-war demonstrators returned Friday for their weekly protest outside U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison's office, this time led by the fallen soldier's mother known for holding vigils near President Bush's Texas ranch.
Peace activists have camped outside the Republican senator's Dallas office to protest the war in Iraq every Friday since October, after Cindy Sheehan ended her August protest in Crawford.
Friday there were no arrests or incidents, and Hutchison wasn't at her office when about 60 people gathered outside. Many protesters were discussing Friday's reports from Iraq of 10 Marines killed by a roadside bomb.
"I'm heartbroken," Sheehan said. "Staying the course is murderous; it's the wrong course. If you're on the wrong course, then you should turn around and go the other way."
