KDKAPITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― If the presidential election were held today, Sen. Barack Obama would have a significant lead over Sen. John McCain in Pennsylvania, according to the results of the latest Survey USA poll conducted for KDKA-TV.
Obama has doubled his lead in Pennsylvania over McCain since the most recent poll was taken in September.
It's not that Obama is sweeping the state – it's that his strength in the eastern part of Pennsylvania is overwhelming everywhere else.
Across the state, Obama now has a 15 point lead over McCain with 55 percent for Obama and 40 percent for McCain with the rest undecided or voting for someone else.
This lead for Obama is eight points higher than it was in September.
