Walker foes try to keep the pressure on

“We are all trying to stay motivated until November, when we can get signatures on him,” Skifstad said, referring to intentions to hold a recall election for Walker.

About 150 people were present at an early afternoon rally at Lake Wissota State Park, held after a lunch with a wide variety of donated food items. Prior to the lunch, about 20 boats, most filled to capacity, gathered for a parade, complete with anti-Walker signs.

The parade went from the state park into to Moon Bay area of Wissota. It did not go near the Rod and Gun Club boat landing, where the Governor’s Fishing Opener activities were centered.

Among the entries in the parade were a sailboat with a sail declaring admiration for the 14 Democratic senators who fled the state to delay action on the Budget Repair Bill, and a water skier braving cold water to ski around wearing an anti-Walker t-shirt.
