39. Maybe all along, but especially now after his recent trip to Iraq,
McCain is painting himself into the same corner as Bush* and the PNACers. He's gung-ho for doing "whatever it takes" to win in Iraq. More troops, more money, for however long. If things go badly, as they seem likely to do, he will have to do a turn-around and come up with some real ideas about how to solve the mess. Not sure he's good at backing down or admitting he's wrong.
