Postal vote forms sent to Hicks, Habib

Postal vote application forms have been faxed to Australian terrorist suspects David Hicks and Mamdouh Habib in Guantanamo Bay, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) confirmed.

The forms were sent at the request of the two men, who have been held at the US military camp in Cuba for more than two years on suspicion of fighting with terrorist groups.

"We received advice that David Hicks and Mamdouh Habib had requested postal voting application forms," a DFAT spokeswoman said.
