Pulitzer Is Said to Be Considering a Sale

The newspaper publisher Pulitzer is considering whether to sell, which could attract bids of up to $1.5 billion, bankers close to the negotiations said over the weekend.

Pulitzer, a successor to the company built by Joseph Pulitzer in 1878, publishes daily and weekly newspapers, including The St. Louis Post-Dispatch and The Arizona Daily Star, its two major metropolitan papers. The company did not return calls for comment
