20. Pallone was just on NJ News and he says he's going to fight this.
He said that the Pentagon is ignoring it's own rules by closing Fort Monmouth. Aberdeen is too underdeveloped to handle anything on the same level as Fort Monmouth and it would hurt the war effort. The Pentagon said that it will not close any bases that would interfere with the war on terror. Fort Monmouth is one of the biggest major support areas for command and communications for the U.S. It would be like trying to move Manhattan to Vermont and expect it happen overnight.
