In order to get a full auto gun of any stripe, you have to pony up a huge chunk of cash, submit to an FBI background check, wait 6 months, get the approval of you local law enforcement, submit to BATFE inspections, get fingerprinted..

They're not exactly flying off the shelves.

The 'registry' of guns capable of being transferred to a civilian by this means has been closed since 1986, as well.
