When he came out against EFCA he turned labor against him. And liberals are not going to support a moderate like Specter if they can vote for a real democrat in the primary in 2010. Liberals and labor are the 2 biggest, best funded, most activist branches of the democratic party (at least I think), and Specter has alienated both.
