have some immunity to most all of the strains. None of us have a bit of immunity to this one, therefore, it may not be any more virulent than the regular flu, but it's host pool to work with is huge and even with regular death tolls they will be substantially higher because far more people will be sick. Infrastructure and the medical community will be strained to the max because so many will be sick, whether they die or not is not the point. If there is no one to truck the food, it doesn't get where it needs to. If there are 100 ventilators at a given hospital and a thousand beds, they will be gone before you know it so everyone will be on their own. Most will do fine but the usual percentage will not be fine.
