110. A BILLION DOLLARS?!
Edited on Mon Apr-04-11 06:54 PM by Countdown_3_2_1
"Political observers expect the Obama campaign to raise an unprecedented $1 billion for the race."

Who needs a BILLION FRIGGIN DOLLARS just to run a campaign? Can you imagine the non-stop commercials that would buy?

a Billion worth of commercials would be overkill.
A) it would drive people away. Who wants to vote for a Billion dollar corporate candidate?
B) It could convince people Obama was winning and they would stay away from the polls.

if the price tag for a campaign is a Billion bucks...just hand the presidency over to a corporate entity and lets be done with it. It will make my vote easier if I can choose between a couple of fortune 500 corps.

If the president gets that much, he should give half to the Democratic Party so we can get the house and senate back.

edit to add. Bragging about getting a billion dollars on the first day of the campaign means Obama doesn't need my paltry contributions.
