I think the difference between drudge and CHB is that drudge now picks up many of his "leads" from RNC connected (that means ORCHESTRATED) efforts/sources.
I get the sense that CHB, which used to be more GOP aligned due to its inherent libertarian leanings, has a lot of 'readers' (and thus contributers) from staffers on the Hill. Get the sense that folks like to contribute their insider tidbits to this gossipy Hill guilty pleasure (the pleasure of reading CHB). Thus there is more first hand knowledge with some disinformation on CHB while there is more first hand disinformation with some knowledge that comes through on Drudge.
