I would have preferred that he be impeached. I wonder how many other Repugs he would have taken down with him if he were impeached? You know he wouldn't have gone down without a word. I wonder if Rove said anything to him along the line of "Resign or be abandoned by the party." Perhaps the promise of an appointment as an ambassador or something, should the Pugs win in November.

I personally would have preferred all the gory details to play on the news, either just among liberal news or mainstream, as Rowland was impeached. It would have been lovely.
