"Thurlow stood by his claim that there was no gunfire that day and said his Bronze Star documents were wrong."

Don't the officers get to see what the report said before they sign off on it?....If Mr Thurlow feels the report was wrong why didn't he say so 30 some odd years ago?

I have never been under fire in my life but I have this strong feeling that if I was I would never forget it..no matter how much money I was given.
