I hope he is met with dead silence. In the CNN article about the comments Senators made on the Sunday morning talk shows, which is being discussed in another thread,Joe Biden is quoted as saying:

"The president's going to the United Nations ," he said. "You know what we list as our priorities for the United Nations General Assembly? Dealing with sex trade, which is important. Dealing with cloning. Dealing with spread of democracy.

"Not one word of Korea. Not one word with regard to Iraq. Not one word with regard to Iran. It's like Wonderland," said Biden, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee."

(This is the article in the other thread - it isn't specifically abt the UN speech, but it is where Biden is quoted.)

As an aside, I live a mile due South of the UN. Please hope that no one has planned a September surprise for the General Assembly. I think it's the only area of NYC which I get nervous walking by these days.
