My biggest problem with the far-right-wing "fundies" is that they present Christ's message in a way that often results in the attitude you responded to. As a liberal, born-again Christian, I struggle with the closed minds and inflexibility of my fellow Christians who are now actually saying things like "God is a republican". I'm wondering if Jesus might be weeping for many of his followers, similar to how he wept for Jerusalem when he walked the earth. I'd personally like to see him whack a few of them with a rod of iron, but I guess that's not the way things work. Meanwhile, I wish those who hold Christ and his gospel in such disdain could find it in their hearts to be kinder to those of us who believe but have our wits about us. I'm not including Bush, I should clarify. I'm beginning to truly conclude he is using his "man of faith" persona to fool a whole lotta people and it may or may not come back to bite him. God's awfully long-suffering, I'll give Him that. Guess we should all be grateful He is, huh?

Top of my prayer list now: Get Bush outa here! Please??
