67. I'm tired of people who won't take a stand
some celebrities are so afraid they'll lose some of their "base" that they mince around and go all mushy on any real world issues. They sound like contestants on Miss America. It's all about the money. They're afraid speaking their mind will cost them endorsements or a sitcom. What cowards. We should all quit be mice and speak up, confidently and politely, whenever we can. When I hear rightwing blather at the bookstore or at a cocktail party, wherever, I counter it. Other people support me...they're relieved at not having to suffer in silence or just walk away. We shouldn't be afraid of bullies. They're all talk. Disagree with them. Ask them for specifics and facts. They rarely have either. It's just hate-radio rhetoric with no basis. Quit letting them control the airwaves and the discourse.
