AFL-CIO’s Pride At Work Calls For Legal Same Sex Marriage in N.J. - 07/17/07

Pride At Work, the AFL-CIO’s gay, lesbian, transgendered and bisexual constituency group, is calling on UPS to reverse its decision to deny health benefits coverage to same sex couples under New Jersey’s civil unions law. UPS denied the benefits to two members of the Teamsters and their families. Pride At Work says the state legislature in New jersey needs to give same-sex couples full marriage rights and scrap the civil unions system.
