2. The criticism of the British election system also apply to ours in the USA, perhaps more so!
The current model contains a huge bias towards Labour and the Conservatives, giving them hundreds of safe seats where MPs can complacently ignore voters. Parties then divert money and skew policy towards a handful of tactically important constituencies.


This could easily be said about Republicans and Democrats and, unlike the British Parliament, they colluded in freezing the numbers of seats in the House that resulted in increasing the ratio of constituencies to their elected representatives, or IOW, it diluted the influence of voters (particularly those of modest economic means).
