constitutional protections of our liberties" succinctly, but profoundly, sums it all up. BF foresaw this potentiality when he quipped to the effect that those willing to give up liberty for a little security will soon have neither. Have we the people in essence sold our collective soul to the devil in turn for a promise that will never be realized?
