they are in a DAZE now. They can't figure out what is going on as the cognitive dissonance between belief and reality sets in.

It takes a while for news of significance to filter to the masses. It takes that time for the people who watch and interpret news to tell the others what it meant.

How shocked they must be to see the WMD story admitted as a lie and to see the architects blaming each other.

The entire Iraq campaign is undeniably a disaster, summed up by images of torture. The images are an analogy to what we, as a nation, have done to Iraq.

We had loyalists who fought us tooth and nail to commit violence as a solution, and they have been proven wrong. Last night made it clear that there's no Calvary(calvalry) coming over the hill to save the Bush administration. It is now undeniable that Bush is not capable of being a leader and he never will be.

Now we have replays of Bush's greatest hits. A Sarin Shell. A Murder. Terror alerts. Shark attacks. My how they long for those clever yesterdays when simple tricks produced results.

We saw them lie about the Torture scandal; "Just a few bad apples" they said - except the soldiers seem to be saying those orders came from up the chain. "Oh well - their word against ours", say the higher ups; however the word of those higher ups suffered greatly when confronted with the video of the wedding party they slaughtered.

I was worried that they would gain some inertia from the Sarin shell, but it turns out to be very old and is also incongruous with WMDs as a lie from Chalabi. Too many evil cooks in that kitchen.
