74. Safety net nonsense. It was the first time
I heard anybody describe aid to the poor as a safety net. Reagan promised to keep the net in place. He may have left the moorings in place but the net became porous and the butt of many a right wing joke. Remove the net and then make sure the parity of wealth gap increases to an all time high. He was one benevolent SOB wasn't he.
