10. On The Shelves
You can't judge the Mid-Manhattan branch by the books that are on the shelves, because that indicates only that patrons are not reading them. Maybe the New York Public Library is obligated to buy books from both sides of the political spectrum. These are some of the books I saw on the shelves yesterday:

The Right Man: The Surprise Presidency of George W. Bush by David Frum. Frum is the speechwriter who came up with the term "axis of evil". Interviewed in the Atlantic Monthly, Frum calls George Bush a man of powerful intellect:
